Why it was forgotten at the grocery store:

• This book mostly doesn't sell because the first book doesn't sell. Since it's book 2 in the series, you can't read it as a standalone.
• As noted for Tier 1, this reads as a dystopian women's fic book. But, unlike Tier 1, there's far more action and plot in this and the third book in the series. Just takes a while to get there!

Why this book could still be your favorite child:

• Tier 2 picks up where Tier 1 left off, and Kate and Eric are in heartbreaking situations. Readers care about this family and want to see them reunited.
• The lost memory trope is done really well, and it's so relatable to those moments in life when something isn't just quite right.
• There's no true villain. Everyone is trying to do what they think is right, which makes the best conflict.
• This book gets amazing reviews. If people can get through the slow start on Tier 1, they usually love Tier 2.
