• The main character is a wife and mother, not the brooding teenager of most dystopian best-sellers.
• It's a little slow to start, and I use way to many adverbs. My writing was in its infancy!
• I also started with homemade covers, and by the time I had great ones by J Caleb Designs, it was like pushing a boulder up a mountain to get this book any visibility on Amazon.

• The story is complex with deep, fulfilling relationships, and a unique protagonist and gut-wrenching love story.
